It is amazing to see how many people love making breakfast for themselves or their family, but do not know proper scrambled egg-making etiquette. Luckily for them, three experts by the names of Michael, Peter, and Tanner have constructed the perfect, fool-proof recipe for heavenly scrambled eggs. The following recipe will showcase how to make a delicious batch of scrambled eggs. It is valuable and useful for those that are hungry every morning because it is a quick and easy meal, and let’s be honest, who isn't hungry every morning? It also prevents death by starvation. The great thing about scrambled eggs is that they are very cheap to make in large quantities, which is something most college students struggle with.
The equipment needed for this simple process should be easy to find around most households. One should start with a medium sized bowl, a garbage can, and an egg whisk. If you are unsure what an egg whisk is, or if you cannot find one, a simple fork will also suffice. These will be used to prepare the eggs. For the cooking process, a pan, spatula, butter knife, and heat source will be needed. For this recipe, our heat source will be a stove top. For serving, all that is needed are plates and silverware. Don’t forget a wet rag to wipe up any spills during the cooking process!
Thankfully, few ingredients are needed for making scrambled eggs. All that is needed for a single person are two to three eggs, milk (preferably 2%), butter, and any additional topping you may want! These can range from shredded cheddar cheese to bacon or other breakfast sausage. Once you have assembled all of these things, the cooking process can commence!

First, you should place the pan on the stove top on medium heat. If your stove is only marked with numbers, turn the dial to number 5 or 6 for the best results. If your heat source is too hot, you risk burning the eggs very quickly, and can add a charred flavor to the eggs, especially if you are using an older, dirty pan. If your heat source is not warm enough, the eggs will either never get done, or will end up soggy, and no one wants soggy eggs!

Second, you will need to cut off ½ tablespoon of butter with the butter knife, and place it in the pan to melt. As it melts, remember to swirl the liquid butter in the pan, as this will help prevent the eggs from sticking to the pan at the end. You can also use the spatula to rub the butter around in the pan as well. Non-stick cooking spray is also an option, but it can actually be burned if left in a hot pan for too long, which can ruin the eggs. We also favor using butter because it adds a better flavor to your dish.
Next, crack the eggs into the bowl, and discard the egg shells into the garbage can. Now, the secret to nice, fluffy eggs is to add about 2 tablespoons of milk to the eggs in the bowl. If you are making more than 2 eggs, use about 1 tablespoon per egg used, but never exceed 5 tablespoons total, or the eggs may taste milky and/or turn out soggy.

After that, use the egg whisk or fork to beat the eggs. The best way to do this is to make a fast, circular tapping motion on the eggs until the yolks are blended in with the egg whites and milk. A yellow-orange colored substance should remain. It does not have to be perfect, but the more beat the eggs are, the better the taste will disperse through the dish.

Once you have finished being mean to your eggs, pour the egg mixture into the pan. We found that for best results, you should allow the eggs to sit in the pan on medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Once that time has passed, be sure to stir/mix the eggs in the pan with the spatula. This will prevent the eggs from burning on one side, and will allow the egg mixture to solidify more evenly.

Continue mixing until there is no more of the liquid mixture or excess moisture in the pan; all that should remain is the solidified scrambled eggs.

| Looks delicious, doesn't it? |
Now is when your mouth should start to water! If you brought any additional toppings, such as cheese, add them to the eggs now, and stir the eggs with the spatula to mix everything together evenly. This will also melt any cheese to a gooey perfection. Try your best to add toppings right before you remove the eggs from the heat source. If you add them afterwards, you risk having hot eggs and cold bacon or sausage, and half-melted cheese.

Once you have prepared the eggs to your liking with any and all of your favorite toppings, you are ready to serve the eggs on a plate with clean silverware and enjoy your scrumptious breakfast, but not before you turn off your stove top to prevent accidental burns!

It is hoped that everyone will find these eggs as delicious as we did. If you have some extra time, and are feeling adventurous, feel free to experiment with your toppings, or even adding some things like toast, fruits, or breakfast potatoes to your plate for a hearty meal to start your day, as well as some left over milk to strengthen your bones! Good luck, and always remember to be safe, and clean up after yourself to avoid conflicts with your hall mates or family!
