Disconnected Blog Post Response

In this documentary, a group of students gave up using the computer for a month. It seemed especially difficult because like Stevens Point, much of the students' campus ran on computers.
I thought it was interesting that the girl said she found herself thinking more. Computers are a distraction felt every day for some. I think that since 2007, students are more interactive with technology in a moderate way. Rather than spending larger chunks of time on the internet, the day is littered with smaller spurts of online webernetting. Cell phones allow us to connect to the web instantly, and it is addicting. At least for me, in the past, I've found myself filling emptiness with applications that show me the world.
I also found it interesting that the girl became more organized. Rather than shoving things aside and killing time on the internet, she was forced to be with herself.
Anyways, the time has come to sign off.

  1. Same! I catch myself consistently on my phone either, checking emails or notifications. Sometimes I do not take the time to experience what is actually around me. I find myself being distracted by my phone most days. By the way, I like how you ended your response.
